A little lime, and some decent fresh hops. Pours clear golden with good initial fluffy head. Light tang in the finish, but fairly clean and decent for a lager. I'm not sure that this reminds me of lagers I had in Argentina, but it's OK. Can.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 05 Nov 2024). Cloudy dull yellow with small white head. Big dank tropical nose, taste is lots of pineapple and a bit of chalk. Decent.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 01 Oct 2024). Cloudy very pale blonde with small white soap sud-like head. Fairly aromatic tropical hops, slightly dank with a hint of soap. Taste is fairly dry and oddly dull with more of a pithy citrus character. While I would choose to drink this over your average Flux chalk bomb, I'm struggling to raise it's score based on what's in the glass.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, tag 01 10 24, 5 weeks old
Very pale yellow colour, one of the lightest I've seen in a long time, and cloudy, with poor head. The aroma is mostly dank, with some citrus zest, some celery. It's bone dry, and by now, 2024, breweries should have understood that they can't pull off a dry Hazie; not being an exception, this one is a bit starchy, without offering anything in the malt department, and with loads of fresh hops, but highlighting the pith rather than the juice. Lots of bitter grapefruit peel in the finish. Suitable for Hazieheads (HH), but not particularly interesting in the grand schema of things.

What is a Southern Hemisphere Lager? Is that, like, Tristan da Cunha? Mayotte? Lesotho? The name is in Italian, so is this referring to the southern part of Somalia, which the Italians colonized for a while? Be coherent, for fuck's sake. I mean, the beer is decent. Bright, deep gold. Thin head. Light body, moderate bitterness. Medium sweetness, a touch grainy, the corn showing through a bare minimum of hop expression. Well-made, though aiming low.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a murky hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma has some light dankness, soapy floral notes, and a bit of cleaning agent (though that might be the glass cleaner from the bar). Flavour has plenty of stone fruit, plenty of pith, and the subtlest of dankness. There's almost no real hop expression other than the fruitiness, and the bitterness is basically nonexistent. Not chalky or hopburny. It's fine if I think of it as hazy blonde.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle lemony hops, some biscuity notes, and straw. Flavour has a nice bitter, lemony hop edge to it, with crisp biscuity malt and a grassy finish. Pretty competently made, decently hopped. It's alright.
