Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is malt, yeast, touch of herbal tea, rye, light soapy, soft hops with the Cascade providing notes of orange. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Nothing special but not bad either, could have used a little more substance.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with coffee, espresso, caramel, liquorice, some dark chocolate. A bit burnt/ashy as well. Flavour is rather bitter with some sugary sweetness. Body could be more full. Capable Stout, bit heavy on the liquorice for my taste.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Bierloods 22, Woerden. Dutch brewery #470.
Clear very dark amber with an off-white head. Dark caramel, raisins and dried plum aroma. Sweet fudge taste with a sweet boozy, slighly sharp finish. Solid barley wine although the finish could be a bit smoother.
