Bottle [thanks RW80] @ home. A bit unclear pale yellow color, huge white head. Aroma is floral, blossomy. Taste malts, lightly metallic, bitter. Average to decent body, hugely overcarbonated. Meh.

Bottle [thanks RW80] @ home. Opaque pitch black color, huge foamy light to medium brown colored head. Aroma is super weird, it reminds me of stuff I don't want in a beer: yoghurt, metallic, baked vegetables. Gets worse with the second. Awful smell. Taste malts, again that weird metallic vegetable aroma and flavor comes through. I really don't know what it really is. I also don't know what they intended here. The flavor is doable, but the aroma is really vile. Might over the top coffee or some kind of herbs or spices. In any case: there should be balance in a black IPA between roasted malts and hops. These two flavors should dominate. And while coffee could add an interesting touch, it can't disrupt the balance as this is crucial in a Black IPA imo. In this case there is no balance at all.

Bottle [from trade with RW80] @ home shared with Joes. Clear golden orange color, small white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, light straw, some unripe fruits, a bit musty, somewhat dusty old hop bitter or something, can’t quite put my finger on it. Weird, not really bad, but I don’t want to finish my glass either. Meh.

Bottle [from trade with RW80] @ home. SHIT I SHOULD’VE READ BIERKONING’S WARNING ABOUT THE GUSHER!! WARNING!! INSANE GUSHER!! Right, now that’s out of the way, there’s just half a glass left of the beer. I tried to quickly slurp it up when it shot out of the bottle, but no such luck, came out through my nose and the insane carbonation made me cough so I spit it all out on the living room floor. A very pleasant experience, thanks for that Wentersch! After I mobbed I found the half glass that was left. Head was still there, rocky, fizzy, bubbly and off-white in color. Appearance is hazy to very hazy orange. Aroma is citrussy, oranges. Taste lightly malts, orange, citrus, hops in the background. Average body and guess what: high carbonation! Quite the experience, not quite the drink.

Bottle [from trade with RW80] @ home. Hazy yellow to slightly orange color, virtually no head. Very yeasty banana-ish aroma. Flavor has it too, very yeasty and banana-ish, quite sweet and some herbs or spices. Average body and carbonation. Drinkable, but it’s not better than your average homebrew imo.
