Makes an attempt at bridging the gap between English and American pale ales, but doesnβt quite pull it off. Sweet malt approaches wort territory, with a touch of citrus from the hops and a mild, bready finish. Tastes like decent homebrew.

Tap. Pours crystal clear orange, medium white head, creamy, nice lacing. Aroma is caramel, pine. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium piney bitterness, a bit of metal. Medium body. This is pretty much a typical IPA of fifteen years ago. Hmmm, the more I drink, the more it is dominated by metallic bitterness.

Deep copper body under a tall, off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt and faint hops. The flavor is light sweet malt balanced by a subtle hop bitterness. Thye flavor is not bad, but lacks enough hop flavor and aroma to be in the Pale Ale category. Good body. Drinkable enough, just not much of a pale ale.
