This stout poured a deep black colour with a tan coloured, creamy head. Nice lacing. Scents include smoke, brown sugar, molasses and a tiny bit of wieners. First swig was very nice with flavours of black coffee, Melloids cough drops, and roasted grain. Quite bitter finish with burnt malt flavours lingering.

Can from. The local. YIG in North bay, ON. Hazy yellow pour, with a large white head. Soft cereals, lots of seminsweet stone fruit, floral hop cones. Silky mouth feel, soft carb. Low bitterness, fruity, stone fruit, lightly tropical. Not bad.

This IPA now shows 4% ABV on the can, bought at the brewpub. Lightly hazed, light golden-yellow colour with a fizzy-bubbly white head, not too long of a stay and minimal lacing. Lemon and tangerine peel aromas and taste. Mild flavours which seem to show that this is a light, session IPA. Looking a little better as it pours getting hazier, head staying a tad longer. Not bad as a Session IPA.

Had many of these in St-Catharines, is this was the only IPA they had in bars around, and one of the only microbrews available. This fresh can is from my visit at the brewery. Hazy golden-yellow colour with a white cap, good stay and some foamy lacing streaks. Lemon zest, other citrus notes with mild herbal hints and oats. The taste shows a little more orange, with the lemon right after. Some light grassiness lingers, and dryness concludes. Because of the slight lower alcohol content in this one, I do find it feels a touch more like a Hazy Pale Ale, and not as much Hazy IPA. Still appreciated these over the other beers.

This one poured a deep amber colour with a creamy, off white head. Medium lacing. Scents include toasted biscuit, malt and the tiniest of perm solution. First swig was quite nice. Flavours of tea, caramel and toast. Finish has an excellent balance of malt and hops. Delicious.

This IPA poured a slightly cloudy, medium amber colour with a creamy, bright white head. Medium lacing. Scents include grapefruit juice, fresh hay and a little malt. First swig was a little thin, with flavours of a little orange zest and malt. Finish I lightly bitter with hoppy goodness lingering.

This IPA poured a hazy light yellow colour with a creamy white head. Nice lacing, scents include grassy hops, cooked veggies, straw and light honey. First swig was delicious and not the hop bomb I was expecting. Flavours of flowery hops and honey most prominent. Finish is lightly bitter with those delicious flowery hop flavours lingering.

This IPA poured a cloudy, pear juice like colour with very little, soapy head. No lacing. Scents include grassy hops, root veggies and an almost light plastic smell. First swig was quite good but not very carbonated, and not the hop bomb that I thought I’d be. Flavours of hops, honey and that plastic in the back. Finish is bitter but not repulsively so. Not to bad at all.

This cream ale poured a hazy, light yellow colour with a creamy, bright white head. Nice lacing. Scents include corn, hay and a little perm solution. First swig was quite good with flavours of corn, honey and light malt. Finish is quite standard with those sweet corn flavours lingering.
