16oz can pours a cola brown with some cloudy, beige head. Nose has more malt than cocoa but the chocolate is there too, nutty, burnt toast. Flavor has malt and toast, some brown sugar and molasses, chocolate is well integrated. Medium bodied, nearly dry. Dare I say... tight?

16oz can. At the February DCBeer share. Poured a very hazy golden yellow color with a small, foamy, white head. Aroma was tropical fruits - big pineapple and mango. Big dankness to this one, hoppy finish.

Can pour at the April DCBeer monthly gathering. Poured opaque blueberry-purple hued beer, with a small wispy head. Aroma was really pleasant, strawberry and very light raspberry. Not a lot of tartness from the raspberry. I never remember what marionberries taste like, but I imagine they taste like this.

Draft pour, 8 ounces, at Third Hill. Poured a dark amber color with a small, slightly pale white head with some light tan notes. Aroma was big dates and raisins, big Belgian ale. Candi sugar. Alcohol is really well masked in this one, I wouldn't have guessed it was over 9%.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a nearly pitch black color with a nice tan head. Aroma was roasted malts. Good dryness in this one, there's some roast, but it's very easy to drink. Some bakers chocolate on the finish. I could drink this easily when I'm not sure what else to get.
