Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours clear, deep brown with a creamy, khaki head. The nose holds light vanilla pods, Cherry Coke. Light to medium sweet flavour with woody dryness, earthy bitterness, bittersweet cocoa and ash. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry and ashy in the finish. So so.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black, with a medium, foamy, khaki head. The aroma is peanut butter, cocoa, pecans, dust, and light smoke. Sweet and malty, with a strange bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a thick, strangely acidic mouthfeel. This is a sugary, and interesting beer.

Goblet glass draft at the brewery in Silverthorne, Colorado. The pour is a hazed golden orange with a small white head. The aroma is big herbal, very much the yeast of Saison. The taste is the yeast, big herbal malt with the ginger only faint in the back, and the mango sweet even fainter and not noticeable until the beer warmed a bit. The palate is light to medium bodied with active natural carbonation and a bit of lingering herbal ginger finish.
