Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clearish straw gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates quickly. Lovely Mosaic focused nose with citrus and blueberry aromas. More of the same on the palate. Carbonation was a little low, but nothing too distracting. Berry and citrus again on the palate with a drying finish.

Deep copper and bronze coloured body with a nice thinnish off-white head, that only covers the top and barely a centimetre in height. Aroma of very toffee-y and sticky sugars with some caramelised notes and a good dash of stone fruits, but the crisp grainy malts seem to dominate and allow in some moderate nuttiness, in the nose, at least. Medium-bodied; Pretty crisp grainy and malty notes dominate with some light nuts and earthiness, with a rustic bitterness, seemingly from the hops, which are on the lighter side, but do show through towards the end. Aftertaste shows a good blend of malt and hops, with a nice sweetness and slight nuttiness at the finish, but the crisp stone fruits and even light touch of grapefruit does finish this off nicely, with a distinct bready component, as well. Overall, a nice and robust, fairly easy-drinking Marzen, that shows a lot of enjoyable and earthy malts, with a crisp dose of hops and good sugars throughout - good to sample for the season, and the can front makes it that much better! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Beer Baron in Livonia, Michigan on 22-October-2022 for US$10,99/four pack, sampled in my hotel room here in Newport News, Virginia on 18-November-2022.

Canned 11/4/21, drunk 9/11/22. Ebony, small, tan head, low retention. Light cinnamon, very subtle vanilla with moderate fudge, mild but aromatic coffee and lots of milk chocolate. No flaw or alcohol. Just enough adjunct to give the horchata impression. Soft, malty, well-attenuated, good roast without any raw/stale/acrid bitterness. Chocolate, light vanilla, very tasteful cinnamon. Soft, malty texture with no excessive sweetness. Just a tastefully-done, well-restrained and attenuated stout. Will definitely visit this brewery at some point, on the strength of this series.

Canned 11/4/22, drunk 9/10/22. Dark. Tan head shows low retention. Can smell the habanero, though it isn't obnoxiously dominant or anything. Light cocoa, fudge and mild roast also exist alongside it. No alcohol or flaw. Like the others, no excessive sugar. Malty and well-attenuated with fudge and cocoa balancing the the spicy habanero. It's solidly spicy, yet not intensely so, still allowing the vanilla, roast, fudge and cocoa notes to be observed. Soft, malty texture, very low sweetness, but appropriate chewy heft for the size.

Canned 11/4/21, drunk 9/9/22. Ebony, small dark, beige head shows moderate-low retention. Sticky caramel and toffee with excellent acidity and something like light prune and fudgey chocolate. Light vanilla. Wouldn't guess churros, but whatever it is, it's richer than the base Cold Brew Stout here. No flaw or alcohol. Excellent intensity for its size. Similarly, in the flavor, it's rich, malty, well-attenuated, with no excess sugar or syrupy character. No lactose and no dominant adjuncts. Just roasty/chocolatey malts with coffee and vanilla. Lingering fudge, caramel, raisin and a very soft, even texture overall.

Canned 11/5/21, drunk 9/8/22. Ebony. Medium-sized, dark beige head of moderate retention. Lovely nose showing a lot of richness above its size. Light fudge, caramel, dark chocolate and well-integrated coffee. Strong floral/vanilla overlay with no alcohol or flaw. Nice and chewy in the mouth with light fudge and dark chocolate and a good roastiness from coffee and barley. Very attenuated leaving very dry through the middle and exceedingly so on the finish. Well-integrated cold brew and lingering toast, vanilla and molasses with mild dark fruit. Very nice balance. Impressive body and flavor for its size.
