Keg at The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer, Brisssle. Hazy-opaque dark chestnut brown. Thick foamy light beige head. Aroma is low key but does manage rye spice and citrus. Sour dough. Flavourwise it's sour with a peppery edge. Bitterness more evident into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice if kinda muted Red IPA.

Keg at The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer, Bristol. Hazy-opaque dark gold. Foamy white head. Aroma has light citrus and malts with floral notes. Flavourwise it has sourness over bitterness. Herbal. Salted lemon. Underlying malts are both chewy and ephemeral. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft prickly carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. A lower ABV Helles-Festbier amalgamation. Not bad.
