At a tasting, smallish bubbly head, opaque very dark brown color, aroma of milk chocolate drink with an earthy hint, flavor of milk chocolate with mineral and metal hints and some vanila in the back, light noticable sourness. Nice but feels artificial..

473ml can from Bottlebox. Canned 12/28/17. Pours deep dark brown, almost black with a smooth white head. Aroma of strong artificial vanilla powder, cocoa, roastiness, chocolate and syrup. Taste is sweetish, slightly roasty and earthy with some vanilla, cocoa, chocolate and syrupy notes. Finish is sweetish and heavy with vanilla, vanillin sugar, syrup and cocoa notes. A bit artificial.

Keg at BD Shoreditch, 17/04/18. Black with a tan cap that dissipates in time. Nose is chocolate biscuit, mellow roasted malts, toffee crisp, light candied fruit peel. Taste comprises chocolate cake, mellow roast, hint or coffee, dried fruits, brown sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent ebough stout but with the ABV approaching that of an impy it does lack a little depth.

Black, tan head dissipates quickly
Aroma of sweet dark chocolate cake, very noticeable vanilla, soft dark malts, no roast, sweet vanilla chocolate dessert beer
Taste of dark malts, touch of earthy roast in background, vanilla flavour, nice
Palate - Soft carb, bit thinner than expected for abv, alcohol well hiddden, fairly sweet. Finish as main flavour, fairly rapid
Overall - Dessert porter ... at least they are up front about the artificial vanilla

Can from BD. It pours clear deep mahogany brown with a medium light tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, caramel, cocoa, tangy dried fruit, fruit cake, berry skin and some toasty malt. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, chewy, toothy malt, toasty, roasted malt, toasted nut, fruit cake, warming alcohol, bit of spice, caramel and coffee grounds with a soft, sweet finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty alright actually.
