This is the amber ale, with added dedo de moa (ladyfinger) chile. Cloudy amber, no head. Aroma has some nice floral hops with a bright mandarin note. The base American amber comes through, again citrus and chewier amber malts. The chile comes through as background heat, subtle, and without any other strong influence.

310 cl bottle from a market in Itaim, SP, 16 R$ (4.7€, expensive). Light amber color, almost clear, short but thick creamy and infinitely lasting fine white head. Soft smell of american hops. Aroma is mostly american hops, citrus, pine, orange. Columbus-style hops, loads of resins. Evidently dry hopping. Solid malts, however as a background role. Taste is moderately bitter but biting and persistent. Texture seems a bit watery but normal for the style, average carbonation, light to medium body. Dry long hoppy bitter finish. Very clean, in comparison it’s between Sierra Nevada P.A. and Boston Lager. Probably a bit more malts and body this would become a lovely IPA. Very good one.
