Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles’ place. Thanks zvsn. Black with some tan foam. Big aroma of lots of burnt tires, whiskey, vanilla, wood, dark chocolate, coconut, tar, soy sauce - a bit over the top. Sweetish-sourish flavor with whiskey, wood, chocolate, fruits, tar, roast, a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied. Interesting.

33cl bottle. Pours orange brown colour with a huge most good lasting beige head. Aroma of sweet banana, riped banana and yeast. Taste of sweet banana, strong wheat malt, sugar, yeast, okay!Earlier Rating: 11/21/2015 Total Score: 3.3Trübes dunkel orange goldenes Bier mit großen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach reifen Bananen, phenolisch. Geschmack phenolisch fruchtig, Karamell, reife Banane.

Pours nearly black, good, light brown head. Smell is very mild. Some coffee, mild roastyness ( and it’s bitterness ) Taste is rather bitter, creamy indeed. Some chocolate, no coffee though. Nice mf and carbo. OK

Trocken röstiger Beginn. Angenehme Würzigkeit, die Malgzigkeit steigt. Leicht bitter, Die Röstigkeit weicht Schokoladentönen, das Bier bleibt dabei trocken. Dezent nach Kaffee. 9/9/10/10/9/10

This a brown ale by nearly every account. It doesn’t have any of the classical Belgian flavours. It is nutty and fairly mild for a 7% abv beer. 2016 Advent Calendar

Bottle at the source in Austria, with Birrificio del Doge guys. Cloudy orange skin, minimal yellowish head. Nose: burnt wired, a bit off. Mouth: off flavors, not bad but off.
