Crystal clear gold coloured body with a fast-dying white head. Aroma of skunky hops, caster sugar, light malt and some odd fruit aromas. Light-bodied; Sharp hoppy flavour with some malt lingering behind along with a short fruity flavour. Aftertaste shows nothing with a bit of metal and malt. Overall, a pretty bad offering, but not the worst. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 19-November-2005 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

A pitch black beer with a dense brown head. The aroma is slightly acidic with notes of prunes and wood. The flavor is sweet with a strong dry roasted malt note. I find a big difference from aroma to flavor, the aroma reminds me most of a Mild, while the flavor is like a stout.

Hazy light yellowish body, thin off-white head. The aroma and flavor are essentially that of lemonade, the kind one makes using lemon concentrate (purchased in those little yellow plastic "lemons" at the grocery store), sugar, and several ounces of water. The only hint of beer is a slightly bitter aftertaste. The finish becomes cloying after awhile. If this wasn’t classified as beer I’d enjoy it more, but there is little in the world of beerdom to remark on here.

I enjoyed this basic stout- sometimes a beer that has all of the necessary elements but doesn’t offer much originality still hits the spot. The body is deep, clear chestnut brown with a puffy tan head that dissipates rather quickly. Coffee and roast aroma with acidic notes. Nice roasted malt flavor with coffee, a touch of caramel that hinted at sweetness (though this was very subtle), and a nice smattering of baker’s chocolate. The beer does lose points for being too thin-bodied and watery. I enjoyed this basic stout.

Not as bad as I was expecting. Poured clear copper, with a thin off-white head. Had a rotten fruity, sour appley aroma that wasn't entirely unpleasant. Body tasted like wet hay, sour moldy fruit, dishrags, and was infused with a musty, sweet and somewhat tangy character. Medium-bodied. Didn't have the awful aftertaste their Pale Ale had.

Has that curious burnt flan flavor with strong nutty characteristics as well. Has a musty, earthy flavor component and aroma that is hard to pinpoint (probably one of the English hops). Pretty simplistic and boring. Thin body leaves a tangy aftertaste.

Good to know this is "carefully" brewed. Pours a slightly cloudy gold color with a minimal off-white head. Earthy, biscuity aroma. Flavor was indeed pleasant to start, with good interplay between earthy hops, floral characteristics, a touch of light fruit, and biscuit. However, I now feel the acidic burn in the back of my throat that others mention here- indeed a post-puking sensation. What the hell? I wonder if this brewer's other beers are "carefully" brewed.

Decent hefeweizen with a slightly sour body. The palate is wheaty and bready. Cloudy tan colour.

Light brown colour, with haze. Aroma and palate show are nutty, and show some toasty, bready notes. Slightly wet in the finish.
