Tessic (2311) reviewed Ransom Note 2 Eisbock from Paris Beer Company 2 years ago
Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 5.5
This Eisbock poured a deep black colour with a hint of deep red. Beauty dark brown, creamy head with really nice lacing. Scents include coffee, roasted malts, alcohol and toast. First swig was a punch in the mouth with flavour. Almost extract like. Lol Sweet on the palate, with flavours of Melloids cough drops, molasses, strong black coffee, a little ripe fruit (raisins) and port wine with a whiskey on the side. Finish is bold as hell with lingering cough drop flavour with that strong coffee in a close second. Probably the strongest Eisbock I’ve ever had.
