Description
You’re probably here for the stouts, that’s what we are most known for. There’s no line we won’t cross in that area, and we appreciate the love we receive for our interpretations of that style. With beer, you’re always learning, experimenting, and tweaking something. We consider our beers forward thinking, and we don’t always brew to style. Somehow we won a gold medal for our pilsner though, so we can follow the rules if we want to.
We don’t intend on being a one-note brewery and are constantly pushing ourselves to do more. At any given time our tap list will feature a variety of styles, stouts, and IPAs being more common, but we make a lot of sours and porters as well. We don’t serve flights but do have 5oz. pours. Our staff is very knowledgeable and can help you find the perfect beer for your taste.

On tap at Angry Chair, pours jet black, almost no head. Aroma is huge on the bourbon barrels and vanilla beans — nothing subtle about this. Flavour is over-the-top intense, with huge vanilla beans, big bourbon barrels, and subdued dark sugars. There's more flavour in a half ounce of this than a full pour of most impies. Huge vanilla beans and bourbon on the finish. Complex, assertive, integrated and masterfully done; but it sure isn't elegant.

On tap at Angry Chair, pours jet black, tiny tan head. Aroma is very boozy, with lots of vanilla beans, harsh alcohol, pralines, and some dark sugars. Flavour is rather abrasive, with pralines, intense vanilla beans, lactose, and alcohol. Extremely rich, fairly sweet, but not that complex or elegant. Tasty for sure but a bit too sweet and lacking integration. For $10 / 5 oz, this is absurdly overpriced.

On tap at Angry Chair, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma smells like a chocolate sprinkles cake, with generic sugars, etc. Flavour is exceedingly sweet and intense, with huge sufars, birthday cake, sprinkles, cocoa, and more sprinkles. Did I mention sprinkles? Good for what it is, but it's too cloying for me.

On tap at Angry Chair, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is loaded with roasted hazelnuts, followed by light coconut and lactose. Flavour is dominated by the hazelnuts upfront, accentuated by intense coconut, and dark sugars. Sweet but far from cloying. Wonderful incorporation of the hazelnut and coconut. This brewery nails the hazelnuts. Awesome stuff.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7

On tap at Angry Chair, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of intense dank hops, allium galore, and some hopburn. Flavour is oniony, with dank hops, pine, and allium. Not much hopburn. Pretty solid — closer to a west coast with the addition of oats and a sludgier palate. Decent.

4.5
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 4

On tap at Angry Chair, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is chaotic, with lots of alcohol, sugars, and resinous hops in back. Flavour is a total mess, with chaotic sugars, alcohol, glue, and resinous hops. An absolutely incoherent and incompetent mess of a WCIIPA. Damn, this is impressively bad.

On tap at Angry Chair, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is full of hazelnut upfront, followed by morning breakfast coffee, and light lactose. Flavour is dried, with lots of dry coffee and hazelnut. Really nice adjuncts, especially the hazelnuts. Very solid nutty porter.

On tap at Angry Chair, pours a clear pinkish rose with a small off-white head. Aroma has tons of lemon upfront, with a touch blueberry and a hint of lactose. Flavour is sweet and sour, with lots of lemon and were blueberry syrupy. Gimmicky and haphazardly balanced. No good.
