Description
You’re probably here for the stouts, that’s what we are most known for. There’s no line we won’t cross in that area, and we appreciate the love we receive for our interpretations of that style. With beer, you’re always learning, experimenting, and tweaking something. We consider our beers forward thinking, and we don’t always brew to style. Somehow we won a gold medal for our pilsner though, so we can follow the rules if we want to.
We don’t intend on being a one-note brewery and are constantly pushing ourselves to do more. At any given time our tap list will feature a variety of styles, stouts, and IPAs being more common, but we make a lot of sours and porters as well. We don’t serve flights but do have 5oz. pours. Our staff is very knowledgeable and can help you find the perfect beer for your taste.

On tap at Angry Chair, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of intense dank hops, allium galore, and some hopburn. Flavour is oniony, with dank hops, pine, and allium. Not much hopburn. Pretty solid — closer to a west coast with the addition of oats and a sludgier palate. Decent.

On tap at Angry Chair, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is chaotic, with lots of alcohol, sugars, and resinous hops in back. Flavour is a total mess, with chaotic sugars, alcohol, glue, and resinous hops. An absolutely incoherent and incompetent mess of a WCIIPA. Damn, this is impressively bad.

On tap at Angry Chair, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is full of hazelnut upfront, followed by morning breakfast coffee, and light lactose. Flavour is dried, with lots of dry coffee and hazelnut. Really nice adjuncts, especially the hazelnuts. Very solid nutty porter.

On tap at Angry Chair, pours a clear pinkish rose with a small off-white head. Aroma has tons of lemon upfront, with a touch blueberry and a hint of lactose. Flavour is sweet and sour, with lots of lemon and were blueberry syrupy. Gimmicky and haphazardly balanced. No good.

On tap at Redlight Redlight, pours jet black with a small dark brown head. Aroma is rich, with tons of marshmallow upfront, followed by subtle coconut, soft bourbon, and sticky sugars. Flavour brings out much more of the coffee and hazelnut upfront, rounded out by the bourbon, with moderate sticky sugars, and some softness due to the marshmallow. Big, complex and dessert-like. Wonderful BA pastry.

473mL can. Pours black with small beige head. Aroma has a ton of brown sugar, oatmeal, cream, cinnamon. Flavour has dark sugars, cinnamon, cream, oatmeal, pumpkin. The pumpkin spice aspect of the beer is very well-integrated, though leans a bit heavily into the sweet, creamy flavours without much complexity beyond the inital pastry mix. Very nice.
