Looks like I finish up the year with quadrupel from a brewery new to me. This 12 oz can was given as a holiday present, pleased to get one to sample. I have my Delirium snifter in place, ready to receive the pour. The body is a La Trappe-style caramel brown color with a modest but persistent skim of silver-tan foam. I find the scent to be attractive. Figs, grain, yeast, a sweet note and perhaps some spice. The drink, well, it does not quite keep up with the nose. Dates, yellow raisins, malt, straw, more of the spices, leather and bread. Slightly sweet and certainly chewy. Tolerably decent but not an above average quad, the competition is tough in my favorite style.

Very hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish, pretty fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of bittering hops with a lot of grapefruit and resin noticeable and a kick of light malt and yeast noticeable here, but the fresh hops are strongest in the nose. Medium-bodied; Strong earthy and biscuity malts show at first with a pretty big bitterness from the fresh hops, but the malts here seemingly show stronger with a big kick and a lot of flavours throughout. Aftertaste shows some nice crisp hop bitterness, with a big kick of flowers, but the herbal, grassy and especially citrusey components are strongest, but the malt provides a great balance with the stronger flavours, especially at the end. Overall, a nice beer for the style and while this does have some real bitterness, there are of course some citrusey components and naturally, this is unfiltered, so it shows the true haze. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Oklahoma City (Nichols Hills), Oklahoma on 09-January-2023 for US$3,00 sampled a day later at my hotel room here in [downtown] Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 10-January-2023.

From a 12 oz can. Pours a hazy mahogany with a tan head. Aromas of raisins and toffee. Flavors are sweet caramel with a significant hop presence. Not in the same league as the Belgian greats but decent nonetheless.

From a 12 oz can. Pours a clear gold with a fluffy white head. Aromas of grain with a little lurking lemon scent. Flavors are moderately sweet bread with a pronounced bitter hop presence.
