Dark brown, medium head, fairly roasty, some dark sugars in back of that. Fairly bitter, partly because of that roast. Seems like a bit yeasty but the impy character basically makes that moot. Good quality impy of relatively low strength, no gimmicks. I can dig that.

Yeasty, astringent. Thin sort of harsh malts. Not all that much hop expression.

Yeasty, hazy pale. Medium head. Moderate bitterness, a bit harsh astringency in the finish, as the malts are quite grainy…need some more sugars to bring this into a better state of balance. Not bad but so much room for improvement.
