4 oz mini snifter tried at the source. Deep amber with retention even in the sample. Aroma is mostly sweet malts, toffee, caramel, sweet fruits and marmalade.

Flavor is on the sweet side with the malts taking over the hop profile. Caramel and toffee give a lasting sweetness with hints of grapefruit, light floral notes and plenty of sugar. The ABV is covered real nice and I never would have guessed it is over 9%. Has a light chewy, yeasty body. The texture is lightly juicy with plenty of sweet toffee and sugar in the finish. If you enjoy sweet DIPA’s this a brew you will be able to drink a good quantity of.

Sample at Lone Wolfe in a 4 oz mini snifter. Dark brown color with a black center, off white head. Aroma is a nice level of roasted malt, ash and earthy coffee hints.

Nice flavor of earthy malt, bitter chocolate upfront with a light bitter note to balance the level of roasted malts. The roasted malt lingers pleasantly after the sip. Ashy texture with a average body for the style. Hop character is here but only for balance, true to the style, solid backbone of deep malts. Highly drinkable and my favorite sample from the pub on this trip, this brew makes me want to return. Good stuff.

Sample at Lone Wolfe in a 4 oz. mini snifter. Hazy golden color with a cap of thin head. Aroma is grain, honey and light bready sweet malt.

Pale grain upfront and the flavor follows the aroma. Medium in body leaning on the lighter side. Light fruit note with a crisp dry finish. Straight forward and true to the style. Well made.
