Brewery draught, 4/24/25.
Moderately hazy, bronze-maize-golden. Small, white head, quickly to spotty cover.
Intensely estery nose seems to outdo the hop character. Just a lot of yeast with a touch of bubble gum. White bread and just a bit of light pine from the hops breaking through.
In the mouth it's mostly yeast character. Sloppy, heavily estery, highly distracting from the small amount of hop character. Piney spice is slight. Lighter body, not quite thin. Bitterness is almost nonexistent. Everything you know and hate about the style!

Taster pour from a bottle at CT Brew Fest 2024. Opaque black w/small head, trace lacing. Aroma is strong, fruity bourbon. Taste is hot bourbon over milder peanut & chocolate. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, harsh alcohol, and finish as taste. Bourbon smells good but too hot.

Taster pour on draft at Rising Pint Beer Festival. It's a cloudy dark yellow with light sparkle, thin ring of head no lacing. Aroma is citrus and grapefruit. Taste is citrus and grapefruit with bready malt background. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and crisp finish as taste. Overall, not super strong and just a general citrus and grapefruit. Fine but not noteworthy in any way.
