Bottle from Beerdome. Roasty with whiskey, soft peat/smoke, iodine, dark chocolate, some alcohol. Moderate bittersweet with a little alcohol sharpness, body could be more full. Pleasant overall.

Bottle from Beerdome. I came for the rum and left for the star anise. It's just too overpowering the aroma. Picking up malt, caramel, oak, touch of dried fruit and rum. Sugary spicy anise in the finish. Just too much anise.

Bottle from Beerdome. Malt and dried fruit aroma with caramel, raisins, spicy notes, some alcohol, figs, sugar. Medium sweet with a light to mild bitterness. Medium body, light sticky and sugary.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Aroma is spicy yeast with pale malt, bit fruity with orange peel, grainy rye. Moderate to medium sweet, mild bitter. Medium body, bit creamy, nice. Well-rounded Tripel, smooth, fine brew.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Strong woody aroma with vanilla, candied fruits, notes of bourbon, spicy yeast, malt, sugary orange. Medium sweet flavour with a light bitterness and a little alcohol in the finish. Very nice, vanilla and other barrel notes dominate.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Like the bourbon BA pretty heavy on the wood with vanilla, rum, sugary fruits, orange, malt, spicy yeast. Medium sweet with a light bitterness, hint of alcohol. Medium body. Fine balance between Tripel and rum barrel, lots of oaky notes.
