Draft at IPA fest at Churchkey. Hazy pale color. Same old bad imitation hoppy shit. Bittered greens with some fruit underneath. More like hop water than beer. I swear, I must be an old man or something cause I don’t get this. 535311

Pale golden coloured body with a nice, pale white head, about three centimetres tall. Aroma of sour funk, brett, white grapes, a hint of grass and a lot of dry hop notes with tons of alpha acid - very nice in the nose. Light-bodied; Strong grass and hop flavours at first with a definite sour and brett-like flavour that almost makes you pucker, while leaving a nice sweetness at the end and some subdued resin and hop bitterness - very nice. Aftertaste shows the funk, sour grapes and brett flavours, while also showing some light sweetness, a good deal of hops and a very small malt flavour, but goes down easily and leaves you waiting to take the next sip. Overall, a very nice beer with a great profile throughout and perhaps an even better complexity. Great to sample and well worth buying a bunch of this one! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased by my hockey teammate Nick and sampled after a hockey game on 28-June-2017 - Thanks Nick!

Tap at Assawoman brewery. Cloudy white-ish pale. Mild nose of lemon & pineapple. Good tart intital taste, was thinking it was a real lambic. Nice cutting co2 as well. Good stuff. Tad of leather deep down inside. Yes, quite a tasty drink. This beer ROCKS! Great job BO!

Sampled on draft this beer poured a murky yellow-peach color with a medium sized foamy off white head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was tart and sour with notes of pineapple, grapefruit and lemon. The flavor was tart and sour with grapefruit and pineapple. Very long finish. Medium body. Well done.

Shaker draft at a local place. Delicious tartness without vomit, what a rarity. Sweet flowers soft body, light tartness, soft body but a tingling carbonation at the end. As I drink, I keep wanting more. Pretty thick purple pink color as well. Sometimes gimmicks are fun.

Bottle to tulip, the appearance was a bronzed copper color with a slight transparency about it. Some carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Slight lace.
The aroma had a nice sweet to sour glossy Brett quality with some herbal to floral portions skating in and around some light funk. Light basil/lemongrass/driftwood perfume underneath.
The flavor broadens the sour slightly more to enlighten some more funk and herbal qualities bringing about a touch of clean bubblegum. Aftertaste fully embraced the blend of sour to funk. Gentle sour/funky yet a touch of bubblegum/herbal finish.
The palate was about medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt good along with the ABV. Sour was tame enough to not impart any overly abrasive harshness along my tongue.
Overall, seemed more of a sour/wild ale, not sure, but whatever. Twas good and worthy of more pours.

The appearance was a slightly golden to dark yellow sort of color with a small white foamy head. Some stringy lace stuck for a little bit before sliding into the beer.
The aroma had some mangoes, citrus, toast and light berries. Light grassy hops.
The flavor yielded to the sweet side at first and then developed a light bitterness as it warmed. Nicely melded aftertaste to form the finish in the same respect.
The palate was light bodied with a good carbonation to it. ABV felt as directed by the brewer.
Overall, pretty nice session IPA that I could have again if I could get it.

This was poured into a lager glass.
The appearance was a nice looking fairly dark red to brown color with a finger’s worth of sustaining white foamy head. Gently dissipated to leave some sly messy lace.
The aroma had some earthy sweet to spicy tones, light caramel, dried dark fruits, caramel/toffee malt base, and ended with a little bit of tobacco.
The flavor was moderately sweet yet balancing in a touch of spice ever so lightly as it warmed. Nicely blended aftertaste which ended up getting a little bit of dark bread in it. Finished with the dark bread and a little bit of spice.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation and the ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty nice doppelbock, not a style I get to enjoy a lot of and not a brewery I get to see, kind of a really rare gem for me all around.
