December 2020: 330 ml bottle, batch #147, from Vinmonopolet Sauda. ABV is 6.5%. Slightly hazy reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Malty aroma with plenty of caramel. The flavour is also malty with caramel, but is not too sweet. Some strange soapy hints in the finish. Moderate hops in the aftertaste.

December 2018: 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Jørpeland. ABV is 7%. Hazy deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Nice aroma of malts, caramel and Christmas cookies, also hints of mild Christmas spices. Flavour with the same elements, medium sweet, with moderate hops. "Nytes best med korken av."

330 ml bottle, as Flåklypa Spesial Juleøl, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutkken. ABV is 6%. Brewed by Nøisom AS. Beautiful chestnut colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma of malts, caramel, gingerbread and mild Christmas spices. The flavour has the same elements, the spices are more distinct now. Moderate hops.

From bottle at my parents’ place 23.12.24. Clear mahogany. Pale, brown head. Fine aroma and taste of medium roasted malt, dates and roasted nuts. Good!

Bottle (from Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is toasted malts, mild roast, some alcohol as well as some mild toffee and herbal tones. Flavour is dried fruts, some alcohol, roasted notes with mild herbal and earthy tones.

330ml bottle, #842, beer gift from Eyvind-Arne. Hazy dark orange coloured body, spotty lacing from a film-type layer. Inviting smell of toffee, nutshell, and bread-like malts, mid-dry. Similar taste character of bread, toffee, nuts, and a little backdrop of spices. Brown malty ending, semi-sweet. Medium bodied. A decent one. (Tromsø 28.12.2022).

Solsletta 141222. Amber color with a beige head. Aroma is bread, chocolate, coffee, toffee. Flavor is bread , chocolate, coffee, toffee, dried fruit, pine. OK beer.
