December 2020: 330 ml bottle, batch #147, from Vinmonopolet Sauda. ABV is 6.5%. Slightly hazy reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Malty aroma with plenty of caramel. The flavour is also malty with caramel, but is not too sweet. Some strange soapy hints in the finish. Moderate hops in the aftertaste.

Bottle (from Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is toasted malts, mild roast, some alcohol as well as some mild toffee and herbal tones. Flavour is dried fruts, some alcohol, roasted notes with mild herbal and earthy tones.

Gyllen brun med beige skum. Lukter malt, nøtter. Maltsødme og noe fruktig i smak.

Amber colour, tiny off-white head. Toffeish, grassy, bit alcoholic aroma. Medium-bodied. Toffee, grass, some bitterness. Nice sweetish-hoppy bock.

33cl bottle. Norski Tasting, Vaasa. bbe 25.02.23. batch #159. Poured deep golden color. Malty and bready nose, syrupy sweet bready flavor. Mild spiciness.

Amber, hazy with a minimal head. Sweet malt and caramel aroma with some spice sense. Sweet with a malt and yeast end. Low carbonation. The ending reminds me of my mom who made something she called tomtegløgg. So it feels a bit homemade and flat, but then again Christmas feeling for me! BB 09.2022, vinmonopolet.no 12.2020

Bottle shared with VH, MP and HG at decentralised yule beer tasting on board Fridtjofen in Kristiansund 12.12.20. Clear dark nut colour. Not much head. Aroma and taste of medium dark malt, nuts, slightly harsh caramel and some bitterness.

Lukter noe vørter, karamell og rosiner. Gylden brun lett tåkete med beige skum. Middels fylde. Søt, maltig smak. Maltekstrakt, kandissukker, alkohol og noe kakao. Middels lang.
Bra øl, i klassisk norsk juleøl-stil. Det er ikke av de mest spennende, men et solid nedslag i en stil det er er mye rart ute å går.
