750mL bottle, sent from xpimptastikx (thanks Michael), pours a murky orangey brown with a small white head. Aroma of orange peel, spicy hops, yeast, and almost a chili pepper. Flavour is very spicy and floral, with dirty earthy notes, spices, orange peels, and loads of yeast. Such a perfect mouthfeel, balanced with spices, earthiness and yeast. A most wonderful yeasty Belgian strong.

75cl bottle, shared before Tuska Open Air Festival, Helsinki. Poured black with a brown head. Aroma is heavy roasted, chocolate and milk coffee pushing through as well. Flavor is similar, roasted malt, milk chocolate, coffee in the long and sweet finish. Alcohol nicely hidden. Not too sweet either. Very smooth, oily. Excellent IS! The label and the name of this beer worked well with the festival theme :)

Bitterer Beginn mit zunehmender Hopfigkeit, die aber selbst in ihrer Spitze der Bitterkeit unterliegt. Bitter bleibend, im Hintergrund grasig, hefig, leicht. Im Abgang nochmal ein Stück bitterer. Ein ansprechendes Leichtbier mit gelungenen Aromen. 10/10/12/10/9/10

Bottle @ Christers. Pours black with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, plums, light smoke. Taste is roasted malt, dark coffee, chocolate, plums and riasins, licorice, smoke. Medium to full body, quete high carbonation for a beer of the ABV. 250612

Acquired in a trade, straight from Austin Texas. Poured into a Mikasa tulip at 58 degrees not at 55 as the bottle suggests. Drinking this 48 hours after Jester King Noble King and I hear they’re similar.
A - Light golden brown, bits of haze, yellow edges of the glass. 2 finger crystal clear head of tiny bubbles subsides to a quarter finger with decent head lacing.
S - Pepper and old straw grass. Hint Lemons and bananas.
T - Hmm. Nice and refreshing. Starts with a very progressive pilsner taste and dry german yeast. Huge peppery spice and dry floral bitterness. Followed by caramel and farmhouse funkiness. Wow.
M - 50/50 carbonation on the mouth swish. Medium to heavy body. Sweet finish that lingers.
O - I’m very surprised by this beer. Nice and enjoyable. I should have held on to it for a while. Very delicious.

750 ml bottle bought @ Bierkompass.de. Pours oily pitch black with a big creamy chocolate brown head that is rather quick to dissipates while leaving lots of thick lacing on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet and robust with with salty liquorice candy, dry soil, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, hay, molasses, burnt caramel, roasted brazil nuts, dark whole grain bread, prunes, raisins, grapefruit juice, pine and hints of barnyard, lemon juice, alcohol and lemon zest. Taste is sweet and bitter with dark roast coffee, burnt wood, pumpernickel, bitter chocolate, pine, black currant leaves, wet soil, hay, prunes, dark grapes, resinous wood, molasses, ammonium chloride, roasted nuts, thai soy sauce, lemon zest, alcohol and hints of lemon balm, barnyard and freshly cut grass. Mouthfeel is round, oily bitter, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with salty liquorice, pine, dark roast coffee, prunes, burnt wood, fresh grass and hints of alcohol, bitter chocolate and dry soil.

750 ml bottle courtesy of Marsiblursi. Pours slightly hazy amber with a frothy and fluffy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of good looking lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet with plums, grapes, alcohol, dry soil, hay, white pepper, lemon zest, overripe pears, pineapple, cloves, orange zest, crackers, sweet peas and hints of green apples. Taste is sweet and slightly funky with orange peal, dry soil, hay, crackers, lemon juice, overripe grapes, cloves, white pepper, plums, yeasty esters, white bread and dry wood. Mouthfeel is round, tiny dry, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and slightly bitter with cloves, dry soil, lemon zest, orange zest, white pepper, crackers, grapes, alcohol and grape zest. A bit boozy but still very good.

750ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with average frothy white head. Wheaty aroma, a bit dry strawy, decent touch of yeast. Taste is wheaty and strawy, light bodied, lacks expression. Easy to drink light Ale.

A - Gorgeous golden appearance with hints of darker golden brown. Very hazy and completely cloudy all through. 2-finger head of solid white tight bubbles that subsided very slowly to a single finger and remained. Very nice head lacing.
S - Smells nice. Dry farmhouse funky yeast scent with big citrus notes and peppery spices.
T - Upfront spice with orange peels and slight bitterness but quickly fading hopz. Very attic must like dusty and stuck like an old shoe but that didn’t stick around too long. The finish was lemon and peppers
M - 100% carbonation. light body.
O - This is pretty good. I was hoping for more but it’s not that bad.

Heuartig hopfiger Beginn. Helle, klare und trockene Noten, steigende Herbe. Die Hopfigkeit bleibt angenehm leicht und macht das Bier sehr süffig und dennoch aromatisch, süffig, rund – super! 13/12/13/11/12/12
