750ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with huge frothy white head. Complex yeasty aroma, hard to describe all-embracing, slightly spicy, decent malty background. Taste is also yeasty with stronger malty backbone, well balanced, dry finish. Nice.

Purchased at West Lakeview Liquors in Chicago, IL, enjoyed at home on a pleasant Friday night. Appearance is a very cloudy, slightly dark caramel/copper with a ridiculously large frothy white head, seemed way too carbonated. Aroma of rich grassy hops, rye, lemon, bit of caramel, bit of pepper. Taste is pretty good, definite grapefruit, also apricot, very very light sour and bitter, not bad stuff. I read a while ago that there may have been a quality control issue with this one, hope I didn’t get one of those bottles. Still pretty good.

Bottle, thanks to thepeter. It pours jet black, with a massive tan head. The nose is roasted malt, dark fruit, charcoal, caramel, toasted coconut, and cherry jam. The taste is dark fruit (particularly plum and cherry), roasted malt, charcoal, cocoa powder, tar and jam, with a dry, warming finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. Well balance. A pleasant fruity Imperial stout.

Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Very glad to finally try Jester King. Slightly hazy pour with a medium sized off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big citrus and tropical fruit notes, faint earth and spice. The taste is the same with a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. Very nice.

Bottle shared at CPK during Paul’s b-day fun. Big thanks to The Peter for busting it out. Pours black-brown with a thick, brown cream head. Nose holds boozy dark malts, modest roast, some burnt wood, a bit of hard alcohol and dark fruits. Big sweet flavor with strong chocolate notes, mild roasted malts, hints of toasted plastic. Medium to full bodied with very high carbonation. Sweet on the finish with big and boozy dark fruits, moderate dark chocolate and restrained roast. Good.
