Deep black pour, tan head. Aroma has loads of liquorice, milk chocolate, roasted malts, some caramel and molasses. Flavour malty sweet, somewhat bitter, liquorice, cocoa, roasted malts. Silky body, quite creamy, finish cocoa and bitter roasted malts. Nice.

750 c&c from ericandersnavy. Pours hazy peach gold. Aroma is ruity/citrus. Med body. Flavor is floral/fruit/citrus over light grain. A hint of yeast. Extremely tasty.

On tap at Petrol Station Anniversary party. Pours a oil black with a paperthin beige head that quickly diminishes to nothing. The aroma is roasted malts and chocolate. Thin mouthfeel with a smoke roast malt and chocolate with a nice smokey finish. Easy to drink hiding the alcohol well, a very good variation of this Imperial stout from Jester King.

Capped 750 received gratefully from ericandersnavy. Pours black with a creamy/fizzy 4 finger beige head. Aroma through all the foam is chocolate. Pretty full bodied. Pretty strong carbonation. So it starts with chocolate, then pulls a dead ringer for an English mild, then goes all astringent oaky. Mouth smacking.

Bottle. Vary disappointing. Aggressive hiss upon opening. Tough to pour. High carbonation, murky brown body, foamy/rocky tan head that fades. Aromas of apple, earthy, chocolate, roast, waxy, tobacco, crayola, nut, earthy, soil and plastic. Flavors are roasty, nutty, earthy, chocolate. Lots of tobacco and damp leaves. Undrinkable as it warms. Violent carbonation, carbonic bite, thin otherwise. Tons of chlorophenol as it warms. Way out of line with their other offerings (seems like a mistake). I hope to re-rate this beer upon a better sample. I have absolutely loved the other two offerings that I have tried.

My first beer from this company. From the 11/2011 3R6P tasting. +++ +++ Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a murky caramel-tan color with an enormous foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was sweetly floral with notes of wildflowers, ginger and mint. The flavor was very tart and bitter though dry with strong floral and perfumey hops and a but of must. The finish was long, dry floral and perfumey. Medium body but overcarbonated. Some nice elements but it just did not pull together right.

On tap at Petrol Station. Pours a cloudy copper with very small head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is a floral hop and grass. Medium mouthfeel with a light bitter hop and citrus with a dry finish. A good variation of wytchmaker.

750ml bottle pours a totally opaque, viscous black with a creamy beige head. Nose has a lot of cherry cordial, smells like a great bon bon, salty Islay whiskey, chocolate, a little soap, black pepper. Flavor has a lot of black pepper, molasses, like smoke, the whiskey in the flavor comes through more soapy, dark malts, lightly nutty. Flavor has some strong raisin too. Full bodied, oily, thick finish. Too much barrel.
