Poured a pitch black body with a light brown head. Coffee, alcohol and dark chocolate in the aroma. Sticky cocoa taste, sweet, but mostly a blast of coffee ending in dust. Very light figs. Another very good beer!

Bottled:
Black with a small head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, smoke and iodine. Flavour is chocolate, coffee, licorice and roasted malt leading to a warming finish. Well made, but predictable; just like most black metal bands nowadays.

Bottle at Craft Beer Co Brighton. It pours lightly hazy straw yellow, with a medium white head. The nose is spice, wheat, orange, tangerine, soap, sweaty sock and farmyard. The taste is hay, straw, wheat, spice, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, spice and tangy fruit. Light body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Flavoursome and very drinkable stuff indeed!

750ml bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a lightly cloudy dark yellow with about a finger of white head. Aroma is predominately doughy yeast with a little bit of caramel and some very light hops. Taste is light bitter. Mostly herbal hops with a little citrus and lots of doughy yeast. Medium bodied with a slick texture. Fizzy carbonation and a long finish. Overall, very good. I would gladly drink this again.

Cask at Petrol Station. Pours a very dark brown with medium creamy tan head that leaves sticky lacing. The aroma is roasted malt smoke and coffee. Medium mouthfeel with a dry coffee flavor and alcohol present with smokey dry finish. A good Imperial stout from Jester King.Β

750mL bottle, sent from xpimptastikx (thanks Michael), pours pitch black with a medium, lingering, foamy light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chipotle peppers, some oatmeal and light chocolate. Flavour of chipotle peppers, tastefully worked in albeit fairly dominant, coffee and roasted malt. Finishes with the chipotle and coffee, leaving a pleasant burn from the peppers. Excellent.

750ml bottle pours a hazy, dark yellow with some cloudy white head. Fruity, sticky nose. Flavor is the same. Full bodied finish. Not the best.

750mL bottle, sent from xpimptastikx (thanks Michael), pours black with a big light brown / tan head. Aroma of dry chocolate cake, dry powdered cocoa, yeast, oats, and light roasted malt. Flavour of chocolate cake, roasted malt, some bitterness, yeast and a dry finish. Quite a bit drier and (obviously) drier than the regular Black Metal, taking away any cloying sweetness. Full-bodied, yeasty, and unsweetened chocolatey throughout. Delicious.
