The second collaboration between Jester King and Mikkeller, Beer Geek Rodeo is an Imperial Oatmeal Stout brewed with smoked malt, chipotle peppers and Vietnamese coffee.

Beer geeks and rodeos don’t often go together, but if ever there were a place where the two would meet, it would be Denmark. No one from Jester King has ever been to Denmark, but our friends Mikkel and Thomas tell us the entire country is inhabited by craft beer drinking, spicy food loving Viking cowboys and cowgirls, and we think that sounds awesome. So as they say in Danish, bunden i vejret eller resten i haret, which we believe is pro-nounced “Yee-haw!” Jester King Craft Brewery is an authentic farm-house brewery in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, on the outskirts of Austin. We brew what we like, drink what we want and offer the rest to those who share our tastes.

Mõnus šokolaad, suits, röst, linnased, kohv, kreemine. Alksi katab hästi, lõpus on tunda chipotle soojust, aga ei midagi põletavat. Väga hea. 3.8

Can picked up from Mikkeller webshop, Denmark and consumed at home Friday 9th April 2021 listening to Dry Cleaning - New Long Leg We had Mountain Meatballs for tea, wow they were hot man hot, hot, hot, hot 🔥🔥. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. It's rich and there is a light coffee hit and then the hot peppers flood through with a little smokiness, a little dry, and yea it's nice but compared to the original Beer Geek and other variants this misses the mark and falls short. 😐

From old notes. From tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Black color with beige head. Roasted malty aroma, coffee, chocolate, light smoke notes. Sweet and bitter like aroma with spicy notes. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

750 ml bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Pitch black with thin ring of soapy tan head. Great aroma of chocolate malts, hints of smoke and tones of coffee with a sugar note. The flavor of this stout was very nice as well. Earthy coffee and dark chocolate upfront with a light chili pepper bite in the finish. Hints of smoke along with the coffee and chocolate keeps the pepper mild. Sweet and spicy finish is damn nice. Or the pepper my have settled down from age. The 10% is hidden real nice. I enjoyed this and if you can still find a bottle drink it now, great stuff! Shared bottle with Adam Jackson.

Pitch black black, 1 finger creamy espresso head. mocha with a hint of smoked notes and a lot of spice. creamy taste, very spicy finish but not unbearable with a lot of chocolate. It’s like a chocolate latte with cream, espresso and chewing on a chipotle pepper. very interesting.
