750ml bottle pours a totally opaque, viscous black with a creamy beige head. Nose has a lot of cherry cordial, smells like a great bon bon, salty Islay whiskey, chocolate, a little soap, black pepper. Flavor has a lot of black pepper, molasses, like smoke, the whiskey in the flavor comes through more soapy, dark malts, lightly nutty. Flavor has some strong raisin too. Full bodied, oily, thick finish. Too much barrel.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks beerandbeyond. Hazy golden with a big frothy white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma with lots of citrus, flowers and tropical fruits notes. Hoppy grapefruity flavor with some tropical fruits, mild bitterness and some wheaty fruitiness with some sweetness. Fluffy wheat mouthfeel. Very tasty and quaffable.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber brown with a a grayish tan head that is fluffy and dissipates slowly to the edges. A decent amount of sediment in second pour. Aroma has a good amount of tropical fruits with a bit of light citrus and grass with a bit of backing rye. Flavor is similar with tropical fruits up front that mellow it to a bit of a bitter finish with pine and grass. Not as much rye on the tongue.

Bottle 750ml.Clear dark black colour with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, smoke, iodine, light to moderate yeasty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, yeasty, phenol notes. IMO a bit Belgium Imp.Stout alike ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110918]

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge a dark brown head. The has notes of caramel, chocolate, and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, sweet and roasted malt, wood, and ashes, leading to a dry roasted and woody finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of blutt59. Pours a pitch black with a dissipating light brown head. Heavy roasty, peppery aroma. Solid body, sweet roastiness, friendly phenols and quite some chocolate. Heavy booze in the finish. Not the most sophisticated of Imperial Stouts. There’s an odd Belgian feel to this. 180911

Big thanks to markwise for sharing with me my first Jester King experience. It pours deep darkness with full mocha head. The aroma is rich chocolate covered marshmallow, chocolate covered black licorice, black strap molasses, uber rich butter dark chocolate fudge goodness. Damn, what? The taste is chocolate toffee like love followed by burnt malts, rich dark roasted coffee and sticky expensive rich chocolate infused fatty Irish Butter enhanced fudge that’s covered with molasses. It seems to have a somewhat thin prickly mouth feel that distracts from the experience a bit. But overall all this is WOW!

Cask at Flying Saucer. Pours a dark brown with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is sour cherry wine and light oak. Thin mouthfeel with a sour cherry and wine heavy in the finish. Refreshing and very good variation on Commercial Suicide.
