3 week old can > pilsner glass A: Crystal clear pale gold with busy carbonation forming a tall frothy head. Head fell to surface patches and left big patches of lace. S: Sweet lemon, hay and bread. Lemon cake. T: Watery taste of bitter citrus hops and lemon zest with a woody doughy aftertaste. M: Thin bodied with average carbonation level. Refreshing and highly drinkable. O: Not bad but also not a radical departure from the norm and hardly worth $12/6.

355ml can. Clear, orangey, brass colour with small, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, caramel malty, and fruity hoppy aroma, notes of mandarine and orange, a touch of orange biscuit. Taste is juicy, fruity hoppy, notes of jelly bears, mandarine, orange; bitter and alcoholic finish. Strange finish destroys much of the fun.

355ml can. Clear, yellow-ish, faint golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Herbal-grassy and citrusy, hoppy aroma, notes of fresh hay, lemongrass, lemon balm, lemon biscuit. Taste is herbal, grassy and slightly citrusy hoppy, minimally floral, notes of lemongrass, lemon balm, hints of hay, a touch of shortbread. Light body, a minimally watery hop oil emulsion.

Can from Bruisin Ales. Pours gold with a creamy/bubbly white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is very citrus. Med body or better. Flavor seems orange citrus, sort of with peel. Bit of earth below. Fairly dry. Nicely bitter. Pretty hoppy. Good stuff.

12 oz. can. Pours clear pale gold with a white head. Aroma of tropical fruits and pine. Taste is tropical fruit, citrus, melon, pineapple, pine. Good stuff.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. As ’Brasserie Belgian IPA’ 7.0%. Light haze on this yellowish gold beer, small white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Floral lemon streak. Little tangerine. Tangy tropical fruits underneath. Smooth finish. Very tasty.
