Draught at U Klokočnika, Prague. Clear deep golden, small head. Dryish with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lovely dense bready malt well complimented by an abundance of saaz hops. Superbly balanced with long bitter finish. Wow!

Draught at U Klokočnika, Prague. Clear golden, small creamy head. Light orange-hay aroma. Similar to the unfiltered, but seems a tad lighter and more fragile. The hops are as evident, but the slightly diminished. Finishes with notable bitterness. I prefer the unfiltered, but this is almost as good.

Draught at U Klokočnika, Prague. Hazy golden, small creamy head. Light orange-hay aroma. Medium sweet with clean mouthfeel. Light bodied, but the vitak grainy malt holds up very well. The evident hop flavour enhances the flavour further and brings a lingering but balanced bitterness. Well made throughout.

Unless I’m mistaken, beer no.3 from the Vinarna Hrozen. Poured a medium-big white head on top of a drarker golden body. Perfumey sweet malty nose, honey. Again, perfumey taste with some spicy hopiness being balanced with some tasty light maltiness. Strong bitter hop aftertaste. Not my favorite of the day but one of the better beers around, especially compared to the first two.

On tap at the brewery: Very deep amber coloured with a firm off-white foam, moderate mainly dry malty aroma: caramel, dark malt with traces of roasted malt, moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium-bodied, dryish, a bit roast-malty finish. A fine, well made and moreish beer.............
