Bouteille: Amber to deep amber coloured, hazy, almost mid-sized fluffy off-White head; mild caramelly-wheaty nose with delicate spicy traces, both from hops and several grains; moderate sweetish and bitter flavour, light bodied and a bit tart; sweetish-bitter finish, traces of caramel and subdued hops.Nice brew, but this style is not really my favourite...

(bottle) Cloudy, brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet dar malty aroma with pronounced notes of rye and wheat, accompanied by hints of toffee and a juicy fruity touch of berries and ripe bananas. Sweet-bitter flavour with a tinge of acidity, light to medium bodied with a spritzy carbonation. Mildly bready and crusty malty taste with notes of caramel, banana and juicy berry-fruity notes; almost dry, delicately sweet and toasty bitter finish with a sour-fruity touch and caramel in the lasting aftertaste. Quite complex and tasty brew, furthermore drier than expected. 27.II.14

(bottle) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a blond and bubbly foamy head. Banana- and slightly citrus-fruity aroma with moderately wheaty notes. Moderately sweet and delicately sour flavour, rather light bodied with a modest carbonation for a Hefeweizen. Mildly wheaty base with present fruity notes with citrus and banana; the latter getting even more intensive towards the sweet and slightly sour-fruity finish without much phenolic spices. Pleasantly inoffensive. 01.V.12

(draught at the brewpup & bottle at home) Clear, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Mildly sweet pale malty aroma with delicately notes of herbal and citric hops. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Slightly biscuity malt-character with a mild hops dosage, containing herbal and subtle fruity accents; sweet-bitter and slightly hoppy finish. A decent brew; too bad they do not have the Schnapperla regularly on tap. 21. & 26.IV.12

(bottle, purchased at the brewery) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Toast-malty, mildly molassy aroma with notes of caramel/toffee and a whiff of herbal hops in the background. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, rather light bodied with a soft carbonation. Mildly toasty and slightly nutty malty taste with caramel and delicately herbal accents; slim and sweet-bitter finish with a soft hops character. A bit slim but nevertheless aromatic and well-crafted. 25.IV.12
