Fläschla: Golden, hazy with Jo's, small and stable white creamy head; mild to moderate dryish piney-herbal nose with malty traces underneath; dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied with a certain fizzyness; citrussy-grapefruity traces in the lingering bitter and mildly sweet finish. Nice and refreshing...

Bottle bought in Munich. Thin brown head, quickly gone, leaving a dark stout colored beer. Syrupy sweet aroma but little hop aroma. Flavor is coffee, roasted grains, almost burnt like Starbucks, and high residual sweetness that's almost cloying. More like an imperial Stout than a black IPA, though the bitterness comes at the end as an aftertaste. Maybe the sweetness masks the IBU's.

18/6/2018. Bottle from Die Bierothek, Leipzig. Pours black with a tan coloured head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, liquorice, hops, raisins, coffee, prunes and toffee. Moderate sweetness with medium plus roasted bitterness. Full bodied, oily texture, average carbonation. Not a typical black ipa, dominant liquorice throughout, and increasing bitterness. Pretty drinkable.
