Bottle at Winterbierfestival Gouda. Hazy dark brown with lots of stuff floating around and small head. Lots of bourbon, light medicinal, brown sugar, lots of Christmas spices, vanilla, light milk chocolate. Overpowering barrel notes, but they’re very nice so I’m not complaining. Quite sweet and light bitter. Over medium bodied with low carbonation.

Bottle @ tasting shared by Joes. Opaque dark brown color, average sized light brown colored head. Aroma is malts, a tad sweetish dark maltiness, perhaps the bourbon influence? Tastes about the same, less liquorice than the Oaked version and a bit more sweet in a nice way, lightly wood in the distance. Decent to medium body and carbonation.
