Unclear yellow with a foamy head. Soapy, lemonade, grainy, strawy. Mild dry sweetness. Light bodied, oily watery, soft carbonated, mild grainy sweet finish. Not as good as their Weizenbier.

Cloudy copper with a foamy head. Diacetyl, overripe banana, clove, caramel, roasted nuts. Fruity sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry fruity sweet finish. A nice brewpub Dunkelweizen!

On tap at the brewpub, Wednesday 18th October 2023. Pours hazy yellow gold, large frothy white head, soft creamy mouthfeel, a little vanilla, banana bread and a hint of clove, interestingly there's a very tiny hint of vinegar on the nose and yet it's not in the mouth, I wonder if I got a little bit of beer from the pipes as almost certainly first person in here today and first beer drawn. However it's a decent beer.

Altbayerisch Dunkel, vom Faß (sparsam eingeschenkt) im Regensburger Weissbräuhaus. - Kastanienrotbraun, trüb. - In der Nase warmes brotiges dunkles Malz, Hefe, dezente Orange. - Antrunk satt aber nicht tief dunkelmalzig, leicht schokoladig, stark karamelsüß, leicht marmeladig fruchtig. Eigenartige Gemüsenoten, wohl noch ein wenig unreif. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang dezente hopfenwürzige Herbe. - Satt malzig und schön karamelsüß aber nicht ganz ausgereift: Gasthausbrauerei eben. Mein nächstes Bier trinke ich beim Kneitinger. (28.7.2023.)

Tap at the brewery. Beer in the glass copper coloured, small head. Fine malty aroma, mild roasty, shy hoppy touch. Starts mild, malty, spicy notes, mild roasty. Shy caramel hints. Finish well balanced. Quite drinkable. Nice!
