On tap at Storm, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma has tons of licorice, sugars, and various root beer-like spices. Flavour tastes like liquid root beer, with plenty of sugars. Not really stout- or beer-like, just thick boozy, sweet root beer. Doesn’t work for me.

On tap at Storm, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of bready malt and dry toasted caramel. Flavour is relatively dry and malty, with bready malt, toasted caramel malt, and a hint of residual sweetness. Nice malt character, clean, and drinkable. Good.

On tap at the brewery. Pours hazy blonde with a white head. Tons of habanero and mango on the nose. And fuck me that's a lot of habanero in the flavour. There's a bit of fruity mango in there, but that's just a ton of habanero spice. Absurdly spicy; a neat experiment but hard to enjoy in more than a small quantity.

473 ml can. Pours a dull amber with moderate head. Aromas of soap, stoned fruit, hot peppers, and bready malts. Flavors follow same with additional candied pineapple but the finish is Habanero hot. Jeez… but not unexpected from James…

Poured from 473mL can (purchased from the brewery and told it was canned sometime in July, but no date stamp). Hazy gold with full off white head. Soft citrus hops, creamy biscuit malt, touch of booze. There's a slight harshness too it that could use some finesse, but at least it's not chalky. Okay.
