Bottle @ Torben Mathews tasting. Nice creamy head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, chocolate, coffee and hops. Little watery finish, but heavy initial taste.

Bottle. Pours black with medium brown head. Aroma is rotated malt, prunes, licorice, coffee and soy sauce. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is long and bitter.

Bottle thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours hazy yellow gold with a thick white head. Aromas of lime and biscuit, tinned pineapple. Taste is light yeast esters, almost Belgian blonde territory. Light citrus. Clean crisp finish.

Bottle from the Vineyard, Belfast. Appearance - golden and hazy. Nice lacy head. Nose - candied lime and pineapple. More like a Belgian Blonde. Taste - tangy banana and pineapple again. Palate - close to medium bodied and tangy. Dry tangy finish. Overall - decent. As I say, more like a Belgian.

Bottle from the Vineyard, Belfast. Appearance - red to brown, cloudy. Some head. Nose - light astringent but a touch of toffee. Cranberries, maybe. Taste - toffee, caramel, light biscuit at the back. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture. The finish is dry yet there’s a sweet tangy note melded in. Overall - quite like an 80 shilling. Solid.

Bottle from the Vineyard, Belfast. Appearance - cloudy golden with a decent lacy head. Nose - orange and herb liqueur thing going on. Taste - apricot, light pine/herb thing. Apricot finish. Resin. Palate - close to medium bodied. Dry tangy middle and finish. Overall - decent.
