Description
The birth of Reids Gold Brewing Company happened back in 2013 after a craft beer home brew kit was given as a Christmas present to its founder Barry Reid. Little did he know then how far his passion/obsession would take him.

In April 2018 Reids Gold Brewing Company made its first sale to trade and have been growing ever since. The vision will be to move to a larger facility one day, once we are able to do so but will be keen to stay in our local area.

We are dedicated to the craft beer industry and love everyone in it. We now have some great relationships with other local breweries and businesses and are so grateful for the support we keep getting. We want people to relate to us and understand that we are here for you guys first as with out you all we are nothing.

Bottle picked up at Noble Hops, Aberdeen. It pours slightly hazy deep amber with a foamy white cap. The aroma is perfumed, toasted coconut, not artifical in any way, coconut water, Scottish macaroon, biscuit, slight sweetness and some toasty grain. The taste is drying, toasty grain, coconut water, cereal, bit of tannin, touch of cake, biscuit and spice with a drying finish. Light to average body and fine prickly carbonation. A bit grainy and wishy washy. So - so.

Bottle picked up at Noble Hops, Aberdeen. It pours clear lager gold with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet, doughy white bread with butter, bread & butter, biscuit, graininess, farty farmyard and wet hat. The taste is crisp, dry, light, grainy, wet hay, grassy, doughy white bread, farty and a touch of lemon rinse. Dryish finish. Light (but not thin per se) body and moderate, foamy carbonation. I like the idea and with some tweaks this could be a go to low alcohol, but there is a certain farty and almost buttery edge to this that ain't so great.

Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. Appearance - pale yellow and a bit hazy. Nose - lemon and a touch of orange. Quite metallic and yeasty too. Taste - more metal and citrus. Palate - light bodied and thin. Fairly dry. Overall - ok considering it's not a real drink.
