Description
The birth of Reids Gold Brewing Company happened back in 2013 after a craft beer home brew kit was given as a Christmas present to its founder Barry Reid. Little did he know then how far his passion/obsession would take him.
In April 2018 Reids Gold Brewing Company made its first sale to trade and have been growing ever since. The vision will be to move to a larger facility one day, once we are able to do so but will be keen to stay in our local area.
We are dedicated to the craft beer industry and love everyone in it. We now have some great relationships with other local breweries and businesses and are so grateful for the support we keep getting. We want people to relate to us and understand that we are here for you guys first as with out you all we are nothing.

Can from the Westhill Service Station. It pours clear bright cherry red with a small, bubbly pink - white head. The aroma is sweet and intoxicating, bright cherry character, jam, candy cane, big hit of almond, biscotti, marzipan and Bakewell tart. The taste is initially dry, bitter - sweet character (thankfully never too sweet), plenty of cherry (but less than on the snout), gummy candy, almond, marzipan, icing and Bakewell tart for sure with a dry finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Aroma is pretty great and it isn't too sweet on the taste. Novel and sort of works.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear pale yellow - gold with a decent white head. The aroma is sweet, floral, straw, grass, fairly sweet, custard creams, lemon curd, sponge cake and after a while it unfortunately gets medicinal /TCP on the snout.. The taste is crisp, dry, grainy, straw, grass, floral, weak bitterness, sweet malt base, sponge cake, custard creams and yet again that medicinal / bandaid / TCP with a dry finish. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Initially it start ok, but then it gets all phenolic. A shame.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear deep golden - amber with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, yet also savoury, has tropical fruit vibes, almost guanabana vibes, custard apple, sweet potato, cream soda and candy. The taste is bitter - sweet, gummy candy, tropical fruit vibes, cream soda, touch of green veg, green banana skin, custard apple, sweet potato and slightly chalky with a fruit cocktail finish. Average body and fine carbonation. Quite an interesting combo, but unusual.
