Description
The birth of Reids Gold Brewing Company happened back in 2013 after a craft beer home brew kit was given as a Christmas present to its founder Barry Reid. Little did he know then how far his passion/obsession would take him.
In April 2018 Reids Gold Brewing Company made its first sale to trade and have been growing ever since. The vision will be to move to a larger facility one day, once we are able to do so but will be keen to stay in our local area.
We are dedicated to the craft beer industry and love everyone in it. We now have some great relationships with other local breweries and businesses and are so grateful for the support we keep getting. We want people to relate to us and understand that we are here for you guys first as with out you all we are nothing.

On keg at Brewdog Lothian Road. Appearance - bright copper and clear. Proportionate off white head. Nose - oh, smoke and confectionery. Taste - campfire, toasted marshmallow for sure. Rocky Road and brown bread. Palate - medium bodied, sweet and roasty middle and finish. Overall - love this!

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours darkest brown to black with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet banana foamy candy, banana split, chocolate, Tunnock's caramel wafer,, roasted malt, light umami, touch of liquorice and a distant puff of smoke. The taste is drying roasted malt initially, earthy, dull smoke, bitter - sweet character, toasted nut, sweet banana candy, ripe fruits, banana split, wee chocolate bananas, caramel drizzle, touch of char and spice with a BBQ roasted banana. Average body and moderate carbonation. Fun.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours lightly hazy deep orange - amber with a sturdy white head. The aroma is sweet, intoxicating, vanilla, gooey toasted marshmallow, fluff, raspberry jelly, Turkish delight, toasty vibes and smoked ham. The taste is bitter - sweet upfront, sweet, sticky, vanilla cake frosting, toasted marshmallow, sweet florals, Turkish delight again, rapsberry jelly, smoked pineapple, then it dries up and you get toasty vibes, smoked malt, toasted oak, nip of spice and alcohol. Medium body and average, tight carbonation. Unique that's for sure. Certainly not a combo I've experienced to date. Novel.

Can from Hop Shop. It pours ever so lightly hazy golden with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet, tangy, tropical fruit vibes, definitely has the gurana antarctica vibe about it, limeade, red berry, passionfruit and a touch of warming spice. The taste is crisp, dry, touch of green bitterness, underlying sweetness, floury bread, tropical action, guarana soda, Hays lemonade, unripe pineapple, apple, warming spice, gingersnaps and light tannin with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Novel that's for sure. Grew on me.

Keg at BrewDog Camden. Pours clear dark gold with a slim white head. Aroma: smoked malt, caramel, burnt toffee, marshmallow. Taste: light sweet & bitter, smoked malts, ash, then the marshmallow comes through. It's just a very odd combo. Medium body with low carbonation.
