Can, picked up at the brewery. Fairly viscous, dark brown pour. Sits in the glass an unclear, dark mahogany brown. Slim ring and a light covering of lasting, tan head. Nose has red wine dregs. Fusty oak. Touch of balsamic. Some chocolate malts. Hint of vanilla and coconut. Some steeped vine fruit. Taste has all bases covered, with a tart, fruity, vinous feel, and just a light sweetness on the lips. Medium body. Hint of acidity. Fine carbonation. Tart, vinous, and fairly juicy on the finish. Great stuff.

Can, picked up at the brewery. Hazed, medium orange gold. Thin and dense, fully lacing, lasting, white head. Nose has a rich, jammy citrus character. Some menthol like pine. Super clean malts. Notes of fresh tea leaf. The hops have been thoroughly wrung out here. Smells great. Taste has clean, pithy, citrus bitterness. Flicker of candied peel sweetness. Medium body. Silky smooth. Fine carbonation. Lingering citrus bitterness to finish. Incredibly easy drinking IPA, with beautiful balance throughout.

Keg at BrewDog Canary Wharf - London. Pours clear amber with a frothy, khaki head. Big jammy berry character, quite medicinal, moderately boozy, oddly bitter, some grapes as well. Full bodied and oily, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with earthy bitterness, raw alcohol, berry cough syrup. Really not very good from where I sat.

Can at home in Hackney - big thanks to Garrold! Pours unclear orange-gold with a foamy, white head. Big on the Belgian yeast character, with some doughy wheat bread, grain husks, moderate grassy bitterness, hints of dried citrus. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more wheat bread, expressive yeast, lemon peel, husky pale grains and lingering grassy bitterness. Very solid.

Can at home in Hackney - big thanks to Garrold. Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Gorgeous beer, excellent balance, lots of pithy citrus, mandarin orange, nectarine, background mango, light piney and rindy bitterness. Medium bodied with delicate, massaging carbonation. Restrained juicy finish, with minimal residual sweetness, some balancing rindy bitterness, pithy orange, dry pale malts. Outstanding from top to bottom.

Can at home Hackney - many thanks to Garrold. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. Straightforward stuff, with white bread, biscuits, a little cereal, soft hay. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Lightly creamy finish, with more pale bread, light doughy biscuits, minimal bitterness. Easygoing and drinkable.

On tap at BrewDog Leicester. Brownish black and opaque with a tiny ring of white head. Cognac is in the aroma with fresh dates and plums, along with strong sweet liquorice. Tastes much more balanced. It's certainly sweet, but there's enough hop bitterness to balance. It's boozy but I notice the flavours, not the ABV. Soft to medium carbonation. Excellent.
