Description

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'Holy Craft Beer Store', best before April 2018. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a white head. Sweetish, moderately fruity and slightly grassy aroma of grapefruit, mango and some pine. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, quite fruity and slightly resiny taste of grapefruit, mango and some pine, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit resiny finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Weich herb hopfiger Beginn mit wenig Grapefruit. Das Bier bleibt primär herb, etwas holzig, unspektakulär. Okay... 9/8/8/9/11/9

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, ruby to brown colour with a beige and firm mid-sized foamy head. Slightly ashy malty aroma with present notes of smoke, accompanied by hints of caramel, burnt wood and red berries. Mildly sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Mildly smokey malt character with caramel, hints of ashtray, burnt wood and slightly fruity accents; moderately sweet and cautious bitter hoppy finish with ashy and smoky notes. Okay, stylewise no revelation. 20.II.18

Fläschken: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, hazy, quickly collapsing loose off-white head; mild but distinctive wood-fire aromas in the sweetish-caramelly nose, very faint herbal bitterness underneath; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, nearly medium bodied; lingering sweet dark-malty and herbal-bitter finish with delicate traces of smoke. Nothing wrong with it...

Starke Karbonisierung. 9/7/8/8/11/8

(bottle, 33cl) Black coloured hue with a brown but not very persistent frothy head. Roasty malty, slightly ashy and burnt aroma with notes of coffee, mocha and a mildly berry-fruity touch. Slightly bitter and sour-tart flavour, light to medium bodied with a slightly fizzy carbonation. Dry and roasty malty base with notes of coffee and berry-fruity flavours, leading into the moderately roasty bitter and slightly tart finish. Not that impressing. 05.I.18
