Bottle drunk while grilling on a Friday evening. Medium amber, mostly clear, small head. Nose is pretty mild, hints of caramel and citrus. Flavor is a bit thin, mineral, lightly hopped for a pale ale with a slightly astringent bitterness (water chem needs work?). Overall it's just ok.

Schnitzlbaumer Edelpils, Fläschchen aus dem Brauereiverkauf in Traunstein (von dem ein Aufzug zur in der Oberstadt gelegenen Gaststätte hinaufführt). - Goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase getreidig-süßes helles Malz und nur milde, leicht limonadenartige zitrusfruchtige Hopfung. - Antrunk schlank mit beträchtlicher, stark zitroniger Hopfenherbe, die in kräftige grasige Bittere übergeht. Für die getreidige Malzsüße bleibt nur wenig Raum. Milder rezent. Im Abgang solide aber aromatisch einseitige Hopfenherbe. Langer, derb zitronenschalenbitterer Nachtrunk. - Für ein bayerisches Pilsner fällt die Hopfung recht kernig aus, ist aber aromatisch arg eindimensional und geradezu derb. Gut als Essensbegleiter.
