Description
Stopped brewing in autmn 2023, beers brewed by owner Einbecker since then.
The current brewing factory in Peine has been associated with the name Härke since 1890. At that time Ernst Härke bought the former Rauls'sche brewery and gave it its name in 1907. The headquarters are located in a listed building right in the heart of Peine. Thanks to ongoing investments, the brewing site houses a state-of-the-art brewery. As always, it draws the water for production from its own deep well.

Bottle. Pours a rather pale golden body with a white head. Fruity hops on the nose, but rather weak, still hiding most of the malty aromas. Some grainyness. The flavor is fruity and hoppy bitter, some grains and biscuity maltyness as well. Medium to thin body and a quite bitter finish with a fruityness. Quite quaffable and quenching, but also a bit boring and one-dimentional. Could easily down a few though. (080329)

The bottle looks like a cheap beer. The beer in the glass is okay. The beer starts very dry and bitter, becomes better with the time. Nevertheless not really drinkable. Only an average pils.

Bottled. A red-amber beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with fresh notes of hops combined with notes of caramel and nuts, leading to a dry nutty finish that also has a light bitterness. Thanks Papsoe for this beer.

The bottle is very simple, but good, the beer in the glass also. Flavor modest hoppy, modest spicy, very zippy. An average pilsner.

Bottle. Pale golden, fluffy white head. Minerallic and light aromatic hops. Flatish, light cardboardy base with a dry metally hop counterpoint, where did the fine aromatics go? Dry mouthfeel. Rusty aftertaste.
