Description
Stopped brewing in autmn 2023, beers brewed by owner Einbecker since then.

The current brewing factory in Peine has been associated with the name Härke since 1890. At that time Ernst Härke bought the former Rauls'sche brewery and gave it its name in 1907. The headquarters are located in a listed building right in the heart of Peine. Thanks to ongoing investments, the brewing site houses a state-of-the-art brewery. As always, it draws the water for production from its own deep well.

Bottle: Copper coloured, bigger, quite creamy and firm off-white head, sweet-malty, caramelly nose with an increasing dry roast-malty touch; medium bodied, moderate sweet-bitter flavour; drier bitter-malty finish with an almost "smoky" tinge in the aftertaste. A real decent one........

Bottle. Really nice homey aroma, almos meadlike, a bit spice and roast. Beautiful chestnut colour, creamy lacing brown head. Roasted sugar start, blueberries, a bit chocolate, lots of roast in the back of the throat. Medium to light, slightly sticky body. Chocolate and coffee doppelbocklike aftertaste. Not often that you get that much flavor packed in a Dunkel - nice!

33 cL bottle. Pours golden yellow with a little white head. Grassy and malty nose and grassy/mouldy flavour. Medium sweet to dry. Flavour adds a mellowness that levels off the grassy dominant notes. Decent to nice.

Hopfig-süßer Geruch. Getreidiger, direkt sehr bitteres Aroma. Test vom 11.4.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,8,6,5,7,7 - 6,80
