From old tasting notes. Cloudy orange, brown color. Big bubbly beige head. Tart fruity wheat maltiness is yeasty and plum-like. Zesty wheat malt flavor has an underlying sweet fruitiness that hints at lemon peel.

From old tasting notes. Cloudy deep gold color with a fruity, bubbly white head and lots of effervescent bubbles. Strong yeasty wheat malt aroma has a huge citrus character. Flavor is initially sweet malt flavor, becoming tart and then mildly bitter, while having that wheats, tangy quality throughout. Sweet brief aftertaste. Good balance and flavor.

500ml bottle: BBD 2nd Dec 17. Drank in my hotel room, Monchengladbach on 3rd May 17. Light golden pour with a swiftly fading white head, the body was both clear and clean looking. No real aroma, grainy, semi-sweet malty base to the brew, mild bitterness late on. Wanted more flavour and oomph, the front label and cap designs got me excited.

Das Werner-Bier erinnert stark an das helle Öttinger-Weizen. Ein normales Hefeweizen ohne viel Tiefgang. EIn Bier dass man massenhaft trinken kann, aber keine besondere Freude ist.

0.5l bottle. Hazy orange body, white head. Aroma of banana, cloves, lemon zest and peach. Taste of banana, peach, cloves and spicy hops. Balanced between the fruity sweetness and the hops. Great hefeweizen.

Für ein Pils, das aus Bayern kommt, ist es recht gut gelungen. Es hat keine Fehlaromen, aber ist einfach zu langweilig um lange in Erinnerung zu bleiben. Kann man trinken, muss man aber nicht.

Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy golden color with an enormous creamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet, tart, citric and yeasty. The flavor was tart and slightly bitter with sourdough bread, lemon, orange and phenol. Long finish. Medium body. Quite nice.
