50cl bottle at Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Clear gold, which surprised me as I was expecting a typical cloudy weizen. Lasting cream head. Some weisse beer aroma. Light though. Some pale malt mised in with some estery banana. Softish in mouth. A mix of a helles and a weisse. Some lemon on finish. Lemon on finish is a bit lemon curdy and very nice. Only some hard metallic carbonation, but lovely overall. It’s great, so impressed with all the beers from this brewery I had this weekend. A helles/weisse cross. Not the full on weisse, but the helles is good and full enough to carry it.

500ml bottle from Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Pale clear gold. Very thin white head. Good light beer, lacks a bit of the bite of the pils from the same brewery. But it’s simple and really drinkable. For a light simple helles this is outstanding it really is quite wonderful in its simplicity. On the Ratebeer hedonistic scale it wouldn’t rate highly as it is not showy, but it’s got a great hoppy bite on finish and so much drinkability in the mouth. Great. Some good lemon on the hop.

500ml bottle from Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Clear chesnut brown colour with thin beige head. Toast and malt aroma. Really good malts in mouth, give it a touch of sweetness. Some choc on aroma. Good toffee choc flavours. It’s a really good dunkel. Does everything really well. Could smell that toasty toffee choc all day. Some hop sting on finish.

500ml bottle from Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Clear pale gold, thick cream coloured head. Decent hop aroma. Really refreshing in mouth. It’s got some kind of light golden syrup malt flavour in middle and then good pils hop finish. After long journey and first beer of the day, really good.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts spicy and sweet, a bit metallically in the middle. Finish spicy-wheaty. Not bad!

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. The beer starts modest dry, good use of hops, the finish becomes more and more sourish, also a bit moldy. Not so good.
