Schnapp-Fläschla: Deep golden to copper coloured, unclear, small and stable off-white foamy layer, mild traces of wood-fire in the sweet-bitter malty and herbal nose, delicate barnyardy traces underneath; mild bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, soft; slightly increasing bitterness in the sweetish-malty finish. O.K., but only average quality by franconian standards...

Brown with a frothy, beige head. Underwhelming caramel and herbal aroma. Taste has a bittersweet overtone over a malty, sweeter base. Medium-bodied, moderate to mild carbonation, nice chewiness. Okay. A little more hoppy freshness would raise the rating.

Stable, whipped eggwhite-cream head over hazy amber beer. Caramel, autumn leaves, sweet brown bread, sweet malts. A sweet, but good aroma. Drier in the mouth, if still a maltbomb, again autumn leaves, rainwater. Long lasting flavours. Very slick, oily, viscous. Medium bodied, good carbonation. Classic, and good! Thanks to Joren!

Smooth mild beginning. Easy to drink, not too deep. Hints of grain, refreshing mild with a slightly grainy bit deep finish.
Smooth grainy, very neutral. Lots of water and neutral grain. Hints of sweetness, watery finish with hints of smoke in the back. Very easy to drink.
