Description
Horus Aged Ales is a 100% barrel aged brewery located in Oceanside, California. We believe in pushing the boundaries on how much beer can evolve through resting in oak by using a variety of different wine and spirit barrels, adding exotic fruits, and fermenting spontaneously. The complexity of the beer portrays our passion for experimentation and patience required to produce such a unique beverage. Horus has been a decade long dream that is finally coming true and we look forward to introducing our exclusive beer to the fine people of San Diego County.

Sweet, dry, soft. Coffee, vanilla, some barrel. Inoffensive but a bit weak.

Medium body, sweet. Lots of hazelnut that's usually a threat, but this is fantastic. Strong vanilla, chocolate, barrel. Fantastic.

Yellow label, had at Belgicali tasting. Thick, black with minimal beige head. Roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Slightly boozy. Not overly pastry. Slightly cheapish ice cream in the vanilla notes.

Bottle shared by Andrew, thanks! Pours an oily black with a brown head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has a lot of coconut throughout with light toast, a good amount of roast and some bourbon backing. Flavor has a great combination of coconut and bourbon with a sweet dark grains and a good amount of roasted malts.
